Last weekend’s winter storm wreaked havoc all over the region…including WDAV’s technical connections with NPR. Due to a satellite snafu, our faithful World of Opera listeners only got to hear two-thirds of a production of Handel’s Agrippina, presented by the legendary Venice opera house La Fenice.
So to make up for the inconvenience, this Saturday night, February 6, WDAV presents an operatic twin bill: hear Handel’s Agrippina in its entirety, starting at approximately 8:30, immediately following the broadcast of this week’s opera, Puccini’s La Bohème from Washington National Opera. It’s NPR World of Opera times two this weekend… truly a Saturday Night of Song to remember, beginning at 6 pm on Classical Public Radio at 89.9 and at wdav.org.
