We do miss hearing your voice at 5AM every morning, but Frank and others have been doing very well. They must have some experience. Glad all went well with the surgery, so all those prayers have been doing what we knew they could do. Stay on your good behavior and we will meet again. Love George and Jane Ireton

Mike, I just never would have guessed it. Right after Joe Brandt commented on your suergery this morning, he lead seamlessly into a recognition of Dr. Pierre Martinbeau, specialist in gynecological surgery:) As a survivor of a very aggressive form, I can assure you that it is not only possible to overcome cancer, but probable! In my prayers and expectations I anticipate nothing but the same blessing for you. Do well, my friend. Peace. Jim

    Dear Mike,
As fantastic a job as Frank has been doing, we don’t want to wear him out and sideline him as well! We have missed you in the morning and are so grateful that things went well and you’ll be back with us soon. If thoughts and prayers count for anything, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about!
    Regards, Tom & Gwen

Mike, I have missed you for several weeks, but just checked the web today and learned of your illness. Years ago the station had a Valentine contest. I started a sonnet (apologies to EBB). This is how it began:
WDAV, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love to begin my day
Hearing the melodious voice of Mike McKay.

I have missed you in the mornings and look forward to your return. As a cancer survivor myself, I can assure you that this experience will make you look at life differently and appreciate it more. It has not been altogether a bad experience for me and won’t be for you either I hope. Use it well!
